The event, which is the culmination of a year-long programme, celebrates the work that the employers have carried out to improve workplace health and wellbeing.

Karen Oldham-Waring, event organiser and workplace health coordinator for NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, said: “The award ceremony is a great opportunity for businesses to celebrate, and be recognised for the fantastic work they have carried out.

“Over the last 12 months these businesses have worked hard to ensure that the health and wellbeing of their staff is a key aspect of business development and success.

“There have been some brilliant initiatives and it’s great we have the chance to come together and share the experiences with everyone.”

In total there were 25 winners across Cornwall, achieving ten core areas including back pain prevention, mental health, healthy eating, health and safety, and staff retention.
