Ann’s Cottage Surf Shop has been shortlisted for a national fashion award.
The company has been nominated in the Young Fashion Retailer of the Year category of this year’s Drapers Fashion Awards.
Ann’s Cottage started life in 1978 as a small shop, which was part of a petrol filling station in Polzeath. It has since grown to have eight surf shops around Cornwall.
Director Becci Cornelius said: “We are so proud to have been nominated for this award. The product I buy is inspired by the community I live in, the places I go and the people that surround me.
“At Ann’s Cottage we aim to create a space that communicates to surfers but one that won’t make non-surfers feel intimidated.”
Winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in London on November 21.
