Sponsors revealed for green awards

The sponsors for the 2011 Cornwall Sustainability Awards have been unveiled.

Now in their ninth year, the awards recognise environmentally friendly and sustainable businesses from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Supporting them this year are Wardell Armstrong International, University of Exeter, NISP, Oxford Innovation, Clear about Carbon, Ginsters, Manufacturing Advisory Service in the South West (MAS-SW), Environmental Skills Network, Cornwall Sustainable Buildings Trust, the Environment Agency, and previous winner TJ International.

Other supporters include Follett Stock, Idenna photography, MPAD and Redfuse Internet.

Gitty Ankers MBE, senior environment officer for the Environment Agency Devon and Cornwall, said: “We’re extremely pleased to be able to announce the sponsors for this year’s awards.

“It’s key for us to have the support of local businesses to ensure that this important event on the Cornish business community’s calendar continues to grow and develop.”

The closing date for entries is Friday, September 30. Businesses can enter by visiting the website where all criteria and entry forms can be downloaded.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on December 9 at the Royal Cornwall Showground.
