Mumpreneur in the making

The director of a Newquay-based company has been shortlisted for a Mumpreneur Award.

Mumpreneur is a UK-based website designed for entrepreneurs who are simultaneously mothers.

Duck Soup’s Mandy Davies is in line for Best Mumpreneur Product, with her innovative Dicky Bag; a neoprene solution for disposing of dog bags.

Davies, who was also shortlisted for this year’s Oxford Innovation Ignite Business Plan Competition, said: “It has been an incredible year and I am so excited to be up for this award. Duck Soup are currently expanding our product ranges and working closely with our coach at Oxford Innovation to develop a strategy to roll out new products this Winter. I am thrilled to be shortlisted.”

She will discover whether she has been successful or not at a ceremony to be held towards the end of the month.
