The woman behind the internationally renowned brand The Seafood Restaurant has been secured as keynote speaker at the 2011 Cornwall Hub Awards ceremony.
In one of her first public speaking appointments, Jill Stein will be sharing her experiences of running the hugely successful Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, a business that’s expanded to cover six eateries, a pub, guest accommodation, cookery school and shops employing more than 350 people.
While Rick’s name is known worldwide, his former wife Jill worked behind the scenes from the very beginning to inspire the company’s significant growth. She was recently named “one of the most influential women in hospitality” by People 1st.
Through a question and answer session, she will be telling her story of the growth of Brand Stein and also her new enterprise, Jill Stein Interiors, at the Hub Awards 2011 on November 24 at the Atlantic Hotel, Newquay.
The awards, currently open for entries until October 6, recognises the achievements of young businesspeople and new enterprises.
Hub Awards organiser Andrew Weaver from Live Events South West said: “Until now, Jill Stein has rarely taken to the stage as a speaker so it’s a real coup for her to be joining us in celebrating Cornwall’s business leaders of tomorrow.
“She is the quiet driving force behind one of Cornwall’s most successful brands and businesses. She will be able to offer great inspiration to our nominees and guests, many of whom are just starting their journey in business.”

Tickets for the event are priced at £35 and will be on sale from September 26 via the Hub website.
