Cornwall has again triumphed with two tourism businesses proving that they are the best at what they do by claiming Gold in the national Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2011.

Making it a hat-trick of awards for Cornwall, Global Boarders Gourmet Surf Experience in association with Ben’s Cornish Kitchen, was awarded Silver for Best Tourism Experience.

Malcolm Bell, Head of VisitCornwall, who was at the awards ceremony in Birmingham on Friday evening, said: “I am immensely proud of all three of our Cornish winners, they are true ambassadors for the quality of Cornwall’s tourism product.

“Achieving such impressive results in national awards such as this adds incredible weight to the promotion of Cornwall’s position as the premier UK visitor destination. The county as a whole, as well as the tourism industry itself, has a lot to owe these leading businesses which are more than deserving of their titles.”
