The Cornwall Hotel Estate and Spa at Pentewan Road in Tregorrick has been entered for the Building Conservation category.

The RICS Awards consists of four categories: Building Conservation, Regeneration, Sustainability and Community benefit.

In the Building conservation category, entrants are required to demonstrate particular attention to background research, the construction materials/techniques used and the project’s long-term prospects.

In all 26 regional entries have been received in the south west.

These projects will compete in a regional heat, with the best entrants then forming the shortlist for the grand final awards. Regional winners will be announced in April/May and will then go through to the national final in October.
