Applications have opened for the annual Excellence in Business Training Awards.
Now in their fourth year, the awards, which are hosted by Cornwall College Business, attract applications from companies large and small in Devon and Cornwall and recognise how staff training has made a difference to companies.
Winners from last year include Cornwall Farmers, Fit ‘n’ Fun Kids, TRAC Services, Tulip Foods, Finisterre and Pall Newquay.
Any business in the region can enter the 2011 awards, demonstrating how they have used staff training to improve their profitability, staff morale, retention, performance and to gain competitive advantage. Organisations must submit their application online or on paper by midnight on Friday November 19.
The shortlisted nominees will be invited to a glittering awards ceremony at the Headland Hotel, Newquay, on January 27, where the overall winner for each category will be announced.
The Excellence in Business Training Awards are open to any business that has undertaken training within the last 12 months, and you can enter as many categories as you would like.

- Outstanding Commitment to Apprenticeships
- Commitment to Graduate Development
- Achievement of Significant Business Impact
- Training Programme of the Year
- Excellence in Environmental Training
- Individual Achievement
- Apprentice of the Year
