A Cornish travel agency has been named Best Performing Agent 2010 in a national award scheme.
Newell’s Travel, which has nine branches across Cornwall and Devon, was awarded the title by the Global Travel Group.
The gong recognises strong sales and customer service. The Global Travel Group represents 750 independent travel agents in the UK.
Partner Helen Hawke said: “This recognition is largely down to our customer service, which brings us a lot of repeat business.
“Working through the recession has been a huge challenge for independent travel agencies like us, but this award goes to show that if you focus on your core business values you can continue to perform.”
Newell’s Travel has branches in Falmouth, Truro, St Austell, Hayle, Redruth, Saltash, Liskeard, Tavistock and Kingsbridge.
