Fraddon-based machinery supplier, Vincent Tractors, has appointed a sales and marketing manager.

Matthew Hodge has been working as Vincent Tractors as marketing manager for the past 12 months and brings to the role over 20 years working in agriculture and marketing.

His appointment in this dual role will continue to help drive the family business, which this year celebrates 50 years at the heart of the Cornish farming community, into the future.

“I’m incredibly excited to be taking on the position of sales and marketing manager,” said Hodge. “To be part of such a trusted and established business, and one that it very much growing and developing, is a real honour.”

Since joining Vincent Tractors, Hodge has introduced a new website with an e-commerce section and led a stronger focus on social media and interactive online content.

In his new position, he hopes to continue to merge the online and offline worlds of farming.

“It’s a myth that farmers and technology don’t mix,” he remarked. “Just looking at the tractors that are being produced nowadays is proof of that. We have the potential to make Vincent Tractors even more accessible to the modern farmer.”

Having joined the company through the Unlocking Potential scheme, Hodge has also spearheaded the introduction of the Vincent Tractors Scholarship, which will give one budding land-based engineer the chance to be supported through an apprenticeship with Duchy College.
