The Institute of Directors (IoD) Devon and Cornwall branch has appointed a new chairman.
James Jordan, head of corporate banking in the south west for HSBC, replaces Carleen Kelemen, who steps down after three years in the role.
He said: “This is an exciting time to be leading the IoD in Devon and Cornwall while the UK is expected to be the fastest growing economy in the G7.
“Business confidence is on the up and there is a far greater demand for bank lending to invest in and grow business.”
