The Carbis Bay Hotel & Estate has appointed a new food and kitchen development manager.
David Sharland has joined the hotel having previously been executive chef and then operations director at The Rick Stein Group, based in Padstow.
He will now oversee Carbis Bay’s two restaurants – the Sands Restaurant and the new Beach Club & Spa Restaurant, whilst developing the food offering across the entire estate.
Hotel owner, Stephen Baker, commented: “David’s appointment marks the start of a new phase of dining at the Estate.
“With the addition of our new Club Restaurant on the beach, we have already begun the move towards creating new and exciting experiences for everyone to enjoy – David will be developing that even further and his creativity and flare will bring a new dimension to Carbis Bay.”
