The appointment takes the number of advisers at Francis Clark Financial Planning to 16, with 50% of these already having reached chartered financial planner status.

As a former director at Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers and a national IFA, Newcombe brings a wealth of experience to his new role having provided independent advice to clients in the Devon and Cornwall area over the last 18 years.

Francis Clark Financial Planning chairman, Alan Turner, said: “The improving economy and recent changes in how people can access their pension pots has prompted increased demand for expert financial advice at a time when it is difficult to find advisers with Andrew’s experience and qualifications.

“He makes an excellent addition to our team and will greatly add value to the services we provide our clients.”
