St Aubyn Estates (SAE) has appointed a new chief executive.

Pat Woodfield joins from Bidwells LLP, where she was chief operating officer and partner for four years, taking responsibility for the strategic and operational management of its £40 million turnover property consultancy.

In her new role she is responsible for strategic planning across the St Aubyn Estates businesses and is the National Trust representative for St Michael’s Mount.

Woodfield, who has moved to Cornwall from the Midlands, said: “I am really looking forward to working with St Aubyn Estates.

“We have lots of opportunities and exciting possibilities ahead in order to continue the future growth and development of the SAE portfolio, ensure that we have a sound future business and work with the wider community in west Cornwall.”

James St Aubyn, chairman of St Aubyn Estates, added: “I am delighted that Pat is joining St Aubyn Estates.

“She brings all the qualities and relevant experience to help us achieve our mission of being a force for growth while preserving the beauty of the landscape under our care.”

St Aubyn Estates spans 5,000 acres with a diverse portfolio of businesses which include land and property management, tourism and hospitality, building and farming. At the heart of the estate is St Michael’s Mount, which the St Aubyn family run in partnership with the National Trust.
