Stephens Scown has recruited a new corporate partner at a time when the firm has seen its corporate team’s workload double.
Gavin Poole joins Stephens Scown LLP from Foot Anstey LLP, where he has been a partner since 2008.
Poole, who started his career in London, advises businesses on everything from acquisitions and sales to restructuring, financing, governance and partnerships.
Commenting on his appointment, Poole said: “I have had a wonderful career with Foot Anstey but I felt that the time was right for a new challenge. Stephens Scown’s focus on investing in Cornwall and emphasis on client service fits perfectly with my own aims.
“Moving back to west Cornwall with my family over 15 years ago has been one of the best decisions I have made, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the region by advising and supporting some of the most exciting businesses in the UK, that are flourishing right here in Cornwall.”
Poole will be based at Stephens Scown’s Truro office.
