The new managers, who have been appointed from within the business, will cover the whole of Devon and Cornwall and will give farmers a dedicated point of contact, as well as being the face of the business in the local area.

Robert Northcott will continue to look after the area from Wadebridge to Newquay and is being joined by Ben Millar, who will operate in north Devon and will look after customers from the Bideford and Hatherleigh area down as far as Launceston.

Fran Deane will take care of customers in the Dartington, Kingsbridge and Tavistock region; Julie Russell will be out liaising with farmers in a region from Liskeard to the store at Threemilestone; and Ken Hosking will cover the area west of Truro.

The new teams will be supported by the Agri Trading Team in Wadebridge.

Chief executive, Simon Birch, said: “This is a significant development that places Cornwall Farmers firmly out on the farm, proactively targeting new business and building on existing customer relationships.

“Our farm sales managers will be offering our customers and members even more support in their new roles and will work with our in-store teams throughout the region to deliver excellent service to our farmer customers.”
