The Islands’ Partnership, the business and tourism body for the Isles of Scilly, has appointed a new director to it board.
Robert Goldsmith, CEO of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group replaces Clifford Freeman, proprietor of St Mary’s Hall Hotel, who stepped down earlier this year due to increasing business commitments.
The previous Steamship Group CEO, Jeff Marston, was a director of Islands’ Partnership until he stood aside at the AGM in October 2013.
Islands’ Partnership chairman, Chris Gregory, said: “I am delighted that Rob has so enthusiastically agreed to join the Islands’ Partnership Board.
“His personal skills and market development experience within the transport industry will be an undoubted asset to the Islands’ Partnership and the directors look forward to re-affirming productive ties with the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, following Jeff Marston’s retirement from the Board.”
