The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in Cornwall has elected Mark Stockwood, a retired garage owner from Camelford, as regional chairman.
Stockwood was voted in at the organisation’s AGM, while Val Kidman, a bookkeeper in east Cornwall and Gary Langan, a business consultant and mentor in mid Cornwall, were elected as chairmen for their respective branches.
Stockwood said: “Having run a garage and petrol retailing business for many years and also having held several officer positions within the FSB, I am very pleased and honoured to have been elected by fellow members to lead the region in its campaigning and support for the small businesses in Cornwall.
“There is a great deal to do and having now retired I can devote my experience and turn my full attention to this challenge.
“We have a really good team of people, who are all committed to working for the good of the businesses that we now serve.”
