Hall for Cornwall (HfC) has unveiled Julien Boast as its new director.

A well known figure in the arts industry, Boast is an experienced arts leader with over 20 years’ experience in the commercial and subsidised sector.

He was formerly chief executive of the award winning ATG theatres, Theatre Royal Brighton and the Churchill Theatre Bromley.

HfC’s chair of trustees, Peter Davies, said: “Julien’s vision, knowledge and understanding of the cultural sector made him a perfect choice for Hall for Cornwall. We are very excited about his appointment and are looking forward to working with him to ensure Cornwall’s theatre continues on its successful and award winning path.”

Boast, who takes up his new position on March 1, added: “I am very much looking forward to moving to Cornwall and helping Hall for Cornwall achieve its long term aims and ambitions. I am excited about the future for the venue and looking forward to working with new colleagues and partners.”

Boast replaces Tim Brinkman, who announced his departure last year to take up a new challenge down under as executive of performing arts at the Arts Centre in Melbourne.
