One of Cornwall’s leading legal experts on children’s issues has joined Stephens Scown, further strengthening the law firm’s family team.
Bill Barry, who is based at the Truro office, is a long-standing member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. He is also a qualified Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Civil) and is able to offer advocacy in the High Court and in family proceedings in all Courts.
Barry was previously a partner with Foot Anstey before working as a consultant with the firm. With a law degree from the University of Birmingham, he moved to Cornwall in 1989 soon after qualifying as a solicitor.
Robert Camp, joint managing partner with Stephens Scown, added: “Undoubtedly Bill’s appointment will further strengthen our family team’s expertise in Cornwall. He is highly regarded in his field, particularly by legal guardians and we’re delighted he’s joining our team.
“With a wealth of experience, it proves that people looking for advice on all children and family law issues need not look outside the Duchy.”
