Skinners Brewery has promoted Stuart Hughes as its new sales manager.
Prior to joining Skinners two-and-a-half years ago as a sales representative, Hughes spent eight years at Dixons’ Truro-based store.
He commented: “If you are a salesman and you’re passionate about real ale and you love living in Cornwall, then my new job is about as good as it gets. I had always admired Skinners from afar and now I just love working with the Cornish pubs and mixing with all the locals.”
Hughes’ promotion follows other management changes earlier this year, when Simon Bray, finance director since 2005, took over as managing director from Steve Skinner, who is continuing to run the company as chief executive.
