Cornish door and window manufacturer Clearwood UK, has appointed a new Sales Manager to help build on what has been its most successful year to date.The company, based at Cardrew Business Park in Redruth has appointed Jay Pengelly as Sales Manager to help drive the business onto the next stage of its development.
Having previously worked for the company, Jay returns as head of sales at Clearwood UK, which manufactures a wide range of high quality timber doors and windows.
With growing demand for its products generally and increasing opportunities in the social housing and commercial sectors, with a number of large school contracts secured in the last few weeks, Jay believes 2009 will see the company build on its current successes.
“It’s fantastic to be back at Clearwood UK in what is a very exciting time in the company’s development.
“Despite the slowing in the UK building industry, as a business we are bucking that trend and not only seeing demand for our products increase but have the opportunity to develop new and emerging markets such as the educational and social housing sectors.
“Our recent contract gains across the UK are a major reflection of the fact that our products are manufactured using engineered Larch, which has a 60 year life expectancy. When you compare the overall life cycle cost of our products, compared with UPVC and traditional soft wood windows, and then add in the quality and craftsmanship of our products we have a very strong offering and these are sales message we will be building upon,” said Jay.
According to Clearwood UK MD Treve Temby, Jay’s appointment brings a new enthusiasm and experience to the company’s sales department.
