Headforwards have been busy organising an open day at the Pool Innovation Centre in Redruth, where they will be looking at inspiring and educating students aged 13-18.

The free event will be held on August 11th and will include coding lessons along with talks from industry leaders and information on higher education courses in computing.

Headforwards aim to encourage a new generation of software developers and IT lovers. Programming is quickly becoming a skill that everyone could benefit from, not just people who forge a career in IT.

Toby Parkins, director of Headforwards has been an advocate of Information Technology Education for quite some time, and he is passionate about strengthening the software industry in Cornwall with improved education and more job opportunities.

The whole Headforwards team is excited to welcome students from all over Cornwall for the day and they are looking forward to sharing some of their knowledge and advice.
