The University of Exeter’s Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) and Renewable Energy department are looking for businesses to host student summer placements and projects exploring the opportunities that renewable energy can offer to companies.

Degree and Masters renewable energy student placements and projects are available to any business that can see opportunities for a focus on renewable energy to improve business efficiency or those who are already working within the renewable energy sector.

Alex Huke, Research and Knowledge Exchange Manager for the Environment and Sustainability Institute, said: “Our skilled students have a solid foundation in a wide range of renewable energy technologies alongside project development and planning processes and are looking for varied opportunities to gain invaluable practical experience and make a contribution to the local economy.

“If a business is working in renewable energy and can benefit from reducing its energy use, generating its own renewable energy or from new ideas and support in identifying ways for diversifying in emerging renewable energy markets then this is a great opportunity to get in contact and take advantage of the skills available.”

For more information on the summer placements and projects available please contact the ESI team on 01326 255818 or email esibusinessenquiries@exeter.ac.uk. Some businesses may qualify for financial assistance.
