Cornwall will be represented by five innovative companies at Europe’s largest marine exhibition, with the help of financial support from the Marine-i project.

Part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Marine-i is designed to help the marine tech sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly grow through harnessing the full potential of research and innovation.

Taking place in Southampton (June 11-13), Seawork is Europe’s largest international marine and workboat exhibition. It will be attended by 8,000 marine professionals from 70 countries.

Among the Cornish contingent will be Workfloat, Armada Engineering, M2ED, Norsap UK and Swathe Solutions.

Matt Hodson, operations director at Marine Hub Cornwall and a partner in the Marine-i project, said: “With the brilliant marine infrastructure that we have in Cornwall, and with the excellent support of specialist marine organisations like Cornwall Marine Network and Propel Cornwall, we now have a marine technology community that is simply buzzing with innovative ideas.

“These five businesses are all excellent ambassadors for the pioneering work being done by marine companies in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly.”
