Businesses needing a hand with the finance side of their operation will be well taken care of at next month’s Cornwall Business Show.

Specialists in accountancy, payroll, wealth management, and accountancy software packages, as well as independent financial advisors, have all already booked their stands.

The show’s MD, Andrew Weaver, said: “Lots of us are good at our core business but frequently need some help and professional advice when it comes to the finance side. That can range from book-keeping, payroll, general accountancy and expert advice on taxation, to more strategic financial planning.

“Lots of firms, big and small, choose to use financial consultancy services on an as-and-when basis, or on a retainer agreement. The companies exhibiting will be used to working in this way and will be able to suggest practical ways they can come alongside you and help.”

Laura Whyte, MD of accountancy firm, Whyfield, said: “We’re looking forward to exhibiting once again at the Cornwall Business Show – particularly with Making Tax Digital kicking in for VAT registered businesses from 1 April 2019.

“Our research shows that 70% of local companies don’t know when they need to start complying. Therefore, we’ve got some great things planned to ensure that attendees can find out everything they need – from software demos to top level advice and guidance.”

The companies in this sector that have so far booked for the 2019 event are: Stockdale Group, Whyfield, DL Accounts, David G Wright, Cornwall Payroll Bureau, Harbour Wealth Management, and Harland Accountants.

Meanwhile, while more than 110 stands have been sold, there are still a few opportunities left for additional exhibitors, particularly in the print, digital and creative sectors.
