Businesses are being invited to find out more about the proposed Penvose Student Village at an open information session at the Chain Locker this week.

Taking place on Friday, October 20, the event is an opportunity to talk to the people behind the development who will be on hand to answer queries and explain more about the village. As well as student accommodation, the development will feature state-of-the-art business premises.

Mark Dawes, from CAD Architects said: “There’s a lot of hearsay surrounding proposed student developments in the area, we want to give people the facts about Penvose Student Village. It’s a chance to hear our plans which include parking and amenities. We believe this site is the only viable option to ease the pressure on local housing in Penryn and Falmouth.”

Also on show will be details on how the development proposes to boost the local economy.  This includes the creation of up to 500 jobs.

Dawes continued: “We want business owners to come along and help shape our far reaching plan for business premises and employment.

“We know from our research that there is a great deal of concern from the business community regarding other plans that could negatively impact employment space in the area.

“The session will be an opportunity for business people affected by the other developments plans to find out how Penvose will help them”

The event at the Chain Locker in Quay Street, Falmouth will take place in the Cousin Jinny room from noon to 5pm on Friday, October 20.  For more information or to register your interest in attending email info@mpad.co.uk
