‘Rise in rail fares not all doom and gloom’

Rail fares are set to rise by an average of 2.3% in January which is far above inflation, an added cost which could hamper business in Cornwall.

However, according to Headforwards director, Toby Parkins, it’s not all doom and gloom: “The rise in rail fares should be seen as another prompt for businesses to make better use of communication technology that can save businesses time and costs.

“For example we regularly use Skype conferencing which means we don’t need to physically travel as much.”
