Countrywide Farmers has launched a new liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) service at its stores across Devon and Cornwall.

The launch follows Countrywide’s acquisition of Cornwall Farmers last year, and marks significant expansion for Countrywide’s LPG business in the south west.

The network of 12 Cornwall Farmers stores enables Countrywide LPG to service all of Devon and Cornwall and appoint up to five new members of staff in the local area.

The new service was launched at a special event at Cornwall Farmers’ Wadebridge store, attended by local MP Scott Mann.

George Webb, LPG business manager at Countrywide, said: “It was great to meet local tradespeople and business owners at the launch event, and show them how we can make a positive difference to the way they run their businesses.

“As Cornwall and Devon are so rural with a high proportion of off-mains gas properties, there are a large number of homes and businesses in the south west that can really benefit from using Countrywide LPG, including commercial, domestic and agricultural businesses, as well as tourism businesses such as holiday parks.”
