A Cornish health and safety consultancy is laying the foundations for further growth across the south west after securing its ISO certification.

Originally launched to provide a range of health and safety training and services aimed specifically at the construction sector, Redruth-based CTC South West Ltd has developed to become a leading name in health and safety training and consultancy across the region.

Now the company is planning for the next phase in its development after achieving the ISO certification through internationally-renowned provider IMSM Ltd.

According to CTC South West’s MD, Graham Harris, growing demand for the company’s services which has seen it expand across the South West was the driving force behind the decision to achieve ISO certification.

He said: “As the company developed we felt it was important to reflect quality standards throughout every aspect of the business and achieving ISO certification was a central plank to that.

“We are helping our customers proactively manage their health and safety responsibilities and work with a lot of safety training bodies that require us to meet their built in quality benchmarks such as City and Guilds.

“The ISO certification gave us the opportunity to look at every aspect of the business from a process perspective and set the standards in place that will enable our growth to happen more smoothly.”
