The Cornwall Chamber of Commerce is holding a special half-day conference next month, exploring the issue of productivity.

Productivity – the rate of output per hour worked – is often considered a key source of economic growth and competitiveness.

According to the Government, if Britain could match the US for productivity, it would boost GDP by 31%.

And in Cornwall, productivity is a particular challenge, with the Duchy’s low GDP having qualified it for three rounds of European funding.

The event, which is being held in partnership with Cornwall College Business on November 19, will look at how Cornwall’s businesses can boost productivity regardless of sector.

Tickets for the event, which will be held at the college’s Camborne campus, cost £20 (+vat) for chamber members, £50 (+vat) for non members. For more information or to book, click here.
