A cake sale held at the Pool Innovation Centre (PIC) has raised £600 for charity.

The fundraiser, held on Wednesday, June 3, was organised by PIC tenant, TRAC Services, to support Children’s Hospice South West.

Staff from the firm of pharmaceutical regulatory experts channelled their inner Mary Berry and baked a range of goods including quadruple chocolate loaf cake, lemon oat crumble slices, lemon drizzle cake, chocolate brownies, rocky road and ginger cake.

The event, put together by TRAC’s Environmental and Social Contribution Team (EAST) and led by Louise Pett, Kirsty Cotton and David Cox raised £304.42 on the day.

The total was then raised to £600 following a donation from the company.

In July, TRAC director Jonathan Trethowan will be cycling in the 210 mile Ride for Precious Lives challenge to support CHSW.

As well as the cake sale, the team also held a raffle with prizes donated from Penventon Park Hotel, Bike Chain Ricci, Pool Innovation Centre, Roddas and Brew Cornwall.
