Budding chefs are being offered a unique opportunity to earn while they learn, working with one of the world’s best chefs.

Following the success of Academy Nathan Outlaw, the local celebrity chef is launching his own apprenticeship programme with The Cornwall College Group.

Three apprenticeships are up for grabs –  two chefs and one front of house – and Outlaw explained: “We will create individuals with an in-depth knowledge of the industry and skills required to succeed and lead in the future.

“This is a very exciting opportunity to join our highly acclaimed team and we look forward to reviewing applications and in meeting potential students.”

The apprentices will work across Outlaw’s restaurants; enabling them to gain a fuller understanding of the industry.  They’ll also spend time working with some of the suppliers who work with Outlaw on a regular basis.

Sally Foard, director of development and adult learning at The Cornwall College Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with Nathan to deliver this excellent opportunity for three people to earn while they learn.

“Research has shown that hiring an apprentice can help a business to grow their own talent by developing a motivated, skilled and qualified workplace.”
