The Black Farmer has been awarded the prize for the best free from sausages and burgers as part of the national Free From People’s Choice Awards.
Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones runs The Black Farmer from his farm in Launceston, specialising in a range of gluten-free products.
Now in their third year, The Free From People’s Choice Awards are hosted by specialist food intolerance website Foods You Can and the winners are decided by the general public.
The awards recognise the best in products, services and resources available in the free-from industry and thank the people and businesses who provide them.
Business woman Bunmi Scott, founder of Foods You Can, said: “The 2014 awards have been our most successful to date. We had even more specific categories, which prompted even more votes from the free from community which consists of people suffering intolerance and allergies.”
