Community Energy Plus (CEP) has been shortlisted in two categories of the Community Energy Awards 2014.
Neil Farrington, CEP’s senior manager for renewables & communities, has been named in the Campaigners of the Year category; while the Community Oil Buying Club, which is administered by CEP, is one of three ‘Energy Purchase Projects’ shortlisted.
Chief executive, Dr Tim Jones, said: “Community energy is an important piece of the jigsaw as we move towards a decentralised energy system which integrates a range of clean, renewable technologies.
