A member of Carn Brea Leisure Centre’s finance team has been honoured for achieving the remarkable milestone of 40 years loyal service.

Jill Luff, who joined the centre in February 1974, a month before its official opening, attended a ceremony and lunch with colleagues, both past and present, as well as trustees of the charity.

Mark Smith, the trust’s vice chairman, presented Ms Luff with an engraved clock and bouquet of flowers and said: “I would like to thank Jill for her unwavering commitment, loyalty and hard work, which has without a doubt directly contributed to the success of both the leisure centre
