The awards mark the end of the year-long Choose Cornish campaign, which recognises the businesses and individuals in the Duchy who go to the greatest lengths to ‘buy local’ and make a real difference to the community and economy of Cornwall in doing so.

The Vine An Gwinbrenn, which has shops in Wadebridge and Bodmin as well as a mobile trailer, won the Choose Cornish Every Day Award, while the Truly Cornish Café Trail Award was picked up by Boscastle Farm Shop and Café.

The Real Cornish Breakfast Award was won by Woodlands Country House B&B.

Cornwall Food & Drink founder Ruth Huxley, who launched the Choose Cornish campaign in partnership with Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, said: “I was absolutely stunned by the quality of the entries for the Choose Cornish Awards, which demonstrated just how much can be done by and between businesses to drive real improvements in the value and effectiveness of our local economy.

“I know the most difficult job for the judges was picking the winners – a nice problem to have.”
