Exeter-based insolvency company Begbies Traynor has been appointed administrator at Enact Energy and will attempt to find a buyer for the company’s assets.

Enact, which was founded in 1996 , helped customers reduce domestic fuel bills through renewable energy and insulation schemes.

Earlier this year it became the first Cornish company to be given Green Deal provider status by the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
