A Redruth-based company that sells a range of products to the healthcare industry is continuing to defy the recession.

Gloveman Supplies Ltd – one of the UK’s leading suppliers of medical disposables, from latex gloves to continence products – has just posted March sales of £500k, a 22% rise compared to the same month last year. And over the last three years, the company has reported 58% growth.

Established ten years ago, Gloveman Supplies is part of the Lalan group of companies – a global network that includes sustainable rubber plantations and factories in Sri Lanka where the products are made.

Operations manager, Lorraine Dinneen, said: “In the last ten years our annual turnover has increased from £300k to over £6M – resulting in new jobs at our base here in Redruth.

“As far as I’m concerned our growth can be attributed to the quality of what we sell, our reputation in the business and our staff who can always be relied upon to go the extra mile.”

Gloveman Supplies employs 25 people. The company is based on the Treleigh Industrial Estate.
