The BIG scheme aims to improve the competitive advantage of high growth Cornish SMEs, leading to 400 skilled jobs being created.

This latest funding will go towards a major upgrade of Frugi’s website and computer software systems.

Co founder, Kurt Jewson, said: “Our current systems are great, but are now struggling to cope with our increasing demands. It’s sort of like wearing shades indoors. You can function, and get things done, but if you take them off everything becomes much clearer.”

Meanwhile, Frugi has been nominated as ‘Best Retailer’ in the Observer Ethical Awards. You can vote for Frugi, by clicking here.
