The Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID) has unveiled the 2012 version of its 3D map of the town.

Originally created two years ago for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors to the town, the map is the latest project delivered by the five-year Falmouth BID programme.

All initiatives have the key aims of raising Falmouth’s profile and encouraging extra visits and spend within the town.

80,000 copies of the Falmouth Map and Guide have been printed and will be distributed to a host of places across the Falmouth area including key attractions, accommodation and transport providers and retail outlets.

BID manager Richard Wilcox said: “I’m delighted to have once again commissioned the design and production of the free Falmouth Visitor Map & Guide.

“Last year, we received positive feedback by local businesses and visitors and so it was an easy decision to produce a 2012 version.”

The map has been prepared by map illustrator, Nick Gibbard, who trained at University College Falmouth and Gendall Design, one of Cornwall’s leading design agencies, which is based in Falmouth.
