Rodda's teams up with the Duchy Hospital

Rodda’s employees are being offered free and confidential health checks through a scheme launched with the Duchy Hospital.

The 15-minute appointment includes, among other things, checks on eyesight, lung function, cholesterol and blood pressure.

Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream managing director, Nicholas Rodda, explained. “It is a great opportunity for our staff to discuss and discover their own individual health needs and, where necessary, take action to prevent future problems.”

“I have to say that all our staff have fully embraced the scheme and I am amazed at the positive feedback we have been getting.

“The other side of the coin, of course, is that we feel we have taken a positive step towards a having healthier staff and that has to be good news for the company too.”

And he added: “It is all too easy for companies to sit on the side lines but we believe that all organisations should take some active responsibility for the well-being of their employees and that is what we are trying to do.”
