The headquarters of the Wave Hub, a new £42 million energy project, are to be established in Hayle.
Alder King Property Consultants acted on behalf of the John Harvey Trust to let a ground floor office in John Harvey House in Foundry Square to the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA).
The property is a 85.81 sq m office building with 19.25 sq m of storage. SWRDA has taken the unit on a new five year lease at an annual rent of £11,700 and will use the unit to facilitate the new Wave Hub project.
The Wave Hub is a major marine renewable infrastructure project that will create an electrical ‘socket’ on the seabed in 50 metres of water around ten miles off the Hayle coast, which will be connected to the National Grid via a subsea cable.
Tim Smart, head of agency – Cornwall said: “We are delighted to have secured an excellent covenant such as SWRDA for our client. We have acted on behalf of the John Harvey Trust for more than seven years and are pleased to announce this latest deal.”
