A contract has been signed between Restronguet Sailing Club and Pendennis in Falmouth, for the superyacht yard to complete the fabrication on its new race committee boat.

Malcolm Wakely, commodore of the sailing club, said: “We are really pleased that Pendennis is supporting the local sailing community.

“This is a terrific day in the history of the Restronguet Sailing Club, the construction of a new race committee boat is an important milestone in our development as a venue to provide professional support for the day to day running of the sailing club and comprehensive regatta programme, and is a tremendous asset for the future well being of our Club.”

Fabrication on the aluminium hull and superstructure is due to commence in early June, the yard will then deliver the completed structure to the sailing club later in the summer for its members to complete the fit out and commissioning process. The committee boat is scheduled to be ready for this year’s Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week.
