Work is well underway compiling Business Cornwall’s inaugural list of leading business personalities – Cornwall’s Top 20.

This will be our annual compilation of some of the Duchy’s most forward thinking and innovative movers and shakers. Those who are leaving a real imprint on the Cornish business scene, promoting everything that is good and positive about the Duchy’s commercial sector.

It is not enough to simply preside over Cornwall’s largest companies, we are looking for business leaders with energy, vitality and vision. Those looking to make a real difference. In this instance, size certainly doesn’t matter.

And there’s still time to send us your suggestions. Who do you think deserves to be recognised in Cornwall’s Top 20? Email me your thoughts, together with a few lines explaining your nomination.

A number of the people who will make the list will have, no doubt, been at last night’s Hub Awards at Newquay’s Atlantic Hotel, which again highlighted the increasingly dynamic nature of Cornwall’s business scene.

For those who missed the awards or those who wish to relive it, next week, on this web site, not only will we have all the photos from the event, but also some edited video highlights.

Also next week, the Dec/Jan issue of Business Cornwall will be published, featuring an in-depth interview with Lillicrap Chillcott director Ian Lillicrap; a pictorial round-up of some of the latest networking events; essential business advice in our Business Clinic from YTKO, Business Link, Harlands Accountants, and Coodes, and a look back at 2009, together with all the regulars.
