What did you want to be when you were young?

A TV presenter.

What was your first full time job?

Selling legal stationery over the phone.

What is your best quality?

Positivity, a can do attitude.

What is your worst quality?

Stubbornness.

What is your favourite book?

Pride and Prejudice.

What is your favourite film?

The Piano.

What is your favourite restaurant?

Anywhere alfresco but my favourite has to be The Cove at Maenporth.

How do you like to relax?

People watching.

If you could build a house anywhere in the world where would it be?

Not sure where but it would be on, or overlooking a beach.

If you could be a superhero, what superpowers would you like to possess?

Mind reading.

Who was your teenage pin up?

Adam Ant.

Can money buy happiness?

Money certainly provides more choices, but the things that make you really happy cost nothing.

What has been the best moment in your career?

Many great moments, winning Cornwall’s Woman of Achievement in the Business Category was pretty special.

What has been the worst moment in your career?

Returning to work from maternity leave to find my boss, who was really inspirational, had been promoted and sent to Australia and had been replaced with an arrogant and obnoxious character.

What do you begrudge spending money on?

School shoes!

What’s the best thing about Cornwall?

Kids stay kids for longer.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned in life?

Trust my instinct.

Most annoying TV personality?

Ruby Wax.

What makes you happy?

My family, time with friends, a great book and really good period drama!

What makes you angry?

Inconsiderate smokers.

If you could invite any two people for dinner, who would they be and why would you invite them?

I’d invite Gordon Ramsey (he could cook )and then throw Alan Carr in for entertainment value.

What’s the greatest invention ever?

Pencilin/antibiotics.

What could you not live without?

Bluetooth in my car.

What was your biggest mistake in life?

No such thing as mistakes just learning opportunities!

What was your luckiest break?

Moving back to Cornwall just before house prices went crazy.

Two snowmen in a field, one says to the other ‘Can you smell carrots?’.

What’s your favourite holiday destination?

Grand Cayman was beautiful, but these days with kids the Balearics do the trick!

What’s your #1 ambition?

To have a lasting impact on the businesses that we support and for graduates to continue to have great opportunities to start their careers in Cornwall. (I also want to learn to surf!).

When is honesty not always the best policy?

When you really don’t like someone!

If you could be God for a day, what miracle would you perform?

Reverse global warming.

What would you like to be doing in five years time?

Working in a vibrant Cornish economy where businesses are flourishing.
