We have serious perks to living and working in this picturesque county and never being more than a few miles away from a pasty and a good pint of Cornish ale are two of them. Winter cliff top walks where you may not meet another soul, beaches that can rival some tropical islands, and some seriously foodie locations – I could go on.
It’s not hard to see why our beloved county is a hive of tourism during the summer, however it can be pretty hard living this far west too, the weather playing a huge role. If I could summarise the Cornish summer this year in a pie chart, I think this is what it may look like…
Living and working in Cornwall isn’t all beach walks and nice lunches. Wages are generally lower, cost of living is fairly high; couple that with some long, dark, damp winters and a lack of reliable and comprehensive public transport- Cornwall can also be a gloomy place.
We are a small family run, wine merchant and brewery so we can’t proclaim to subsidize wages and single handedly improve our infrastructure, but we have put together a list of corporate Christmas gift ideas to make the return after Christmas invigorated.
