Pendennis Shipyard's newest apprentices

Another 12 apprentices have started Pendennis’ much-acclaimed national training scheme.

Since 1998, Pendennis Shipyard, which last year was named overall winner of the National Training Awards, has welcomed over 140 local young people on its general apprenticeship scheme.

This is the eighth group starting the course, which has produced some highly skilled and dedicated members of the Pendennis team over the years.

Apprentices now make up one fifth of Pendennis’ current workforce.
