Cornwall Marine Network (CMN) has appointed former media consultant Georgia White as its new marketing executive.

White will assist CMN members with their publicity needs, ensuring they promote their businesses as effectively as possible and maximise their marketing potential.

She joins CMN’s team with a distinguished media background. After ten years as a news and feature writer for the national media in London, she moved to Cornwall in 2005. She has since worked with the south west’s business sector on a range of writing, editing and PR assignments on a regional and national level.

A keen sailor, White arrives with a good understanding of the industry. She has some 32,000 nautical miles under her belt after participating in the then BT Global Challenge Yacht Race. She has also forged strong contacts among the marine-related media.

CMN chief executive Paul Wickes said: “Cornwall Marine Network has a track record of innovation on behalf of its marine businesses, ensuring marine sector specific services are continually developed and improved to benefit our member businesses in an ever increasing way. Georgia’s excellent expertise will add a new dimension to our member services and also ensure the good work of CMN is understood by a wider audience.”
