Editorial director Nick Eyriey is an experienced and respected journalist having spent some 20 years in the local and national press working with newspapers such as The Yorkshire Post, Today, The Sun, and the Mail on Sunday.

Jump Media, the Penryn-based design agency, has appointed a new SEO and marketing manager to implement best-practice Search Engine Optimisation techniques on all new website projects.

Google Qualified Professional Tom Bennison brings four years B2B and B2C search marketing experience, and adds a new dynamic to the company which has traditionally concentrated on website design and design for print.

Jump’s MD, Robert Hatcher, commented: “This appointment will strengthen Jump Media’s profile in the south west, as well as provide an improved level of service for our clients.

“We understand that search engine visibility and active online promotion is imperative for driving traffic and boosting sales. Tom is here to ensure our websites provide the best possible results for our clients the moment it goes live.”

Bennison added: “As budgets are currently being squeezed, it’s important for us to create websites that can hit the ground running, with measurable campaigns in place to help customers justify their online spend. It’s this level of control and accountability that we’re looking to offer as standard with every website project.”

Bennison joins Jump from Redruth-based Opie Oil, where he achieved page-1 ranking on Google for a string of highly competitive keyword terms like ‘engine oil’ and ‘car oil’.
